Decanter rating Château Galoupet Cru Classé 2021
Jury Citation
"Cru Classé blend of Grenache, Syrah, Tibouren, Rolle, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Semillon and Cabernet from Galoupet’s vineyard in Provence, currently in organic conversion. Delicate salmon pink, with an engaging citrus nose. Very polished and well-textured. Rich and creamy with a touch of refreshing bitterness. Lovely strawberry intensity on the palate and notes of ginger, lime and grapefruit."
Bettane+Desseauve Rating Château Galoupet Cru Classé 2021
Jury Citation
“The estate stretches out facing the sea, covering approximately 170 hectares of land and forest, 68 of which are vineyards. The rolling hills and the hidden artificial lake create a rich and sustainable terroir, where Grenache, Syrah, Tibouren, and Rolle thrive. The viticultural choices are exacting, with a focus on a schist and calcite terroir. Biodiversity, carefully managed ground cover, and strict yield limits result in exceptional wines, with refined acidity and delicate tannins. Mathieu Meyer, the estate's director, is one of the most inspiring figures I've encountered this year. His innovative vision will elevate Galoupet to the ranks of the world's greatest rosés.”
