Our history
and our vision
Château Galoupet, an estate rich with 300 years of history producing a Côtes de Provence Cru Classé, has embarked on a transformation journey to achieve sustainable and regenerative viticulture. Through challenges and changes of ownership, the estate experienced many twists and turns before being taken over in 2019.

wine estate
18th century
The first traces
The earliest trace of Château Galoupet, whose creation date remains uncertain. It appears on the general map of France produced under the direction of César-François Cassini de Thury (1714-1784) at the request of Louis XIV.
1894
Recognition of a terroir
The estate received a silver medal at the 1894 Concours Général Agricole for the quality of its wine and innovative viticulture, in the heart of a place that enchants visitors with its nature and terroir: "everything contributed to that particular state of well-being that makes nature seem beautiful and life sweet."
1955
A Cru Classé Côtes de Provence
The Provence rosés of Château Galoupet were acclaimed throughout the 19th century. In 1955, the estate itself achieved new renown when it obtained the title of Côtes de Provence Cru Classé, which it still holds to this day alongside 17 other properties.
2019
Renaissance of Château Galoupet
Château Galoupet is acquired by LVMH. Thanks to the restructuring work carried out in the vineyard, notably replanting and efforts made to better understand the terroir, the estate quickly becomes a model in regenerative agriculture.
2022
The birth of a landmark rosé
Following extensive revitalisation work carried out on the estate, Château Galoupet launches its very first organic-conversion rosé wine: a Côtes de Provence Cru Classé Rosé.
2023
Organic certification
Château Galoupet becomes the first certified organic wine estate in the LVMH portfolio. After four years of reconstruction, the estate proudly asserts itself as a model of sustainable viticulture.
2025
The reopening of an exceptional estate
Between the Mediterranean Sea and the maquis, Château Galoupet opens to the public in July 2025 with a new space designed as a natural extension of the vineyard. The estate now invites visitors to discover its world through an immersion into the Provençal art of living: café, shop, and unique tours and experiences.
2025
Launch of G de Galoupet
Château Galoupet unveils its second cuvée, G de Galoupet. This rosé embodies the excellence of the Provençal terroir: freshness, aromatic intensity, and finesse, all housed in one of the lightest bottles in the world.
2026
Château Galoupet achieves Regenerative Organic Certified®
Created in the United States by the Regenerative Organic Alliance, the ROC™ certification stands today as one of the most rigorous standards in the world for sustainable agriculture. It evaluates an estate's performance across three fundamental pillars: soil health, animal and human welfare, and social fairness for farmers and workers.
