Mindful of this rich ecosystem, we have placed all living things at the heart of our vision. For several years, Château Galoupet has partnered with local and international specialists in geology, oenology, regenerative viticulture, agroforestry, beekeeping, biodiversity, landscape design, and environmental infrastructure. In 2026, Château Galoupet is among only 40 wine estates worldwide to hold the Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC) certification, one of the most stringent standards in regenerative agriculture. This shared expertise enables us to act with precision to regenerate biodiversity, turning every plot into a true sanctuary where the vines thrive in symbiosis with restored nature.

Our regenerative
practices

Water management

Faced with Mediterranean rainfall, infrequent yet intense, we deploy a comprehensive water strategy based on regenerative hydrology: slow, spread, sink, and store. To combat erosion and wildfire risks, we transform our soils into "sponges" through agroforestry, cover crops, and subsoiling, encouraging deep infiltration. This approach is complemented by precision management, including smart drip irrigation using stepped contour systems, closed-loop circuits in the cellar, and the restoration of a historic 35,000 m³ reservoir dedicated to rainwater harvesting. From trial plots to the estate’s 150 hectares, every feature (swales, ponds, and reforestation) aims to secure our resources while enriching biodiversity. The ultimate goal: to achieve full water self-sufficiency over time.

Agroforestry
& cover crops

To restore our ecosystem's balance, we integrate trees and plants directly into the vineyard. Through agroforestry, we are planting 27 native tree and shrub species to create ecological corridors that restore the natural food chain and protect our grapes. In addition, the annual sowing of cover crops, such as mustard, rye, or field pea, serves as a natural green manure between our vine rows. This plant synergy enriches the soil, combats erosion, and stimulates microbial life, allowing the roots to draw nutrients more effectively for the development of our cuvées.

Resilient grape varieties
and research

Firmly focused on the future, we continue research and experimentation as part of our organic winemaking and beyond. In response to climate change, which brings higher temperatures and earlier harvests, we conduct trials and tests across one hectare. Our team evaluates climate- and drought-resistant varieties, such as Calabrese, Agiorgitiko, and Moschofilero, in partnership with the Syndicat des Côtes de Provence and the Centre du Rosé.
