Château Galoupet aims to express the full potential of our terroir through exceptional gastronomic premium rosé wines with notable ageing potential. Our Cru Classé Rosé is a complex, full-bodied and high quality rosé wine with a long and saline finish. It is a terroir-driven and organic wine crafted with 6 grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Tibouren, Rolle, Cinsault and Sémillon. To enjoy from summer to winter, from aperitif to dessert.
The nose is rich and very expressive, with notes of summer fruit, yellow peach and floral notes. Exotic notes are also present, such as mango and fresh pineapple. Lastly, we find citrus notes such as pomelo.
On the palate, the expression of fruit deepens, with a fine balance between the exotic and the Mediterranean aromas. The aromatic harmony is supported by a silky structure, with a complex, saline finish.
The year 2023 was marked by a drastic drought on the coast right up to the harvest. This was the least rainy year recorded at Château Galoupet since the installation of a weather station on the estate (-31% compared with the 2020-2022 average). Yields were low, with an average of 28hL per hectares on our plots, enabling us to concentrate the berries' aromas and harvest high-quality grapes.
The very fine varietal expression of Tibouren this year during the ripening and vinification period has enabled us to develop its presence in the Cru Classé 2023 blend. This is a rare and delicate grape variety, favored at Château Galoupet and characterized by its yellow fruit notes and salinity. The new, smaller vats have made it possible to vinify the grapes on a plot-by-plot basis, so as to best adapt to each terroir and sublimate all its particularities.
Château Galoupet Cru Classé Côtes de Provence 2023 is presented in a distinctive and lightweight (499g) amber bottle made from 85% recycled glass. Not only does doing so prevent waste, but it also saves energy during the production process and transportation.
