After two particularly dry years in 2022 and 2023, our estate really needed water, and the teams were scanning the sky in hopes of rain. Our wishes were granted with the 2024 vintage, marked by very nice autumn and spring rainfalls, which replenished the soils well. Some of us even harvested wonderful mushrooms in the wooded areas of the estate, but they are keeping the locations of their discoveries a secret...
This year, the team dedicated considerable effort to controlling the maturity of the grapes, with the goal of achieving a more dynamic attack on the palate. With this in mind, the harvest was slightly advanced in order to reduce sugar concentration at the time of picking and increase acidity. Subsequently, the art of blending was at the centre of the creation of this new vintage. Each plot is vinified separately, allowing the winemakers to capture the best expression of the year. This also provides the flexibility needed to adjust the proportion of each grape variety in the wine.
Château Galoupet Cru Classé Côtes de Provence 2024 is presented in a distinctive and lightweight (499g) amber bottle made from 85% recycled glass. Not only does doing so prevent waste, but it also saves energy during the production process and transportation.
